GiveWell: Accomplishing as Much as Possible with your Giving

Alexander Berger is a Research Analyst at GiveWell; graduated from Stanford in 2011 with degree in Philosophy.

GiveWell is an independent charity evaluator, founded in 2007. GiveWell pictures a world in which donors reward charities not for having the right connections or telling the right story, but for successfully and demonstrably improving lives. Alexander Berger from GiveWell will discuss why, in giving, good intentions aren't enough; what they've done to find the best giving opportunities possible; and how you might be able to help with GiveWell's ongoing mission. They are looking for graduating seniors and interns for the Research Analyst role, which primarily involves research to find the best giving opportunities.
